Depending upon the time of year, we may be able to attend to you right away, or we might have to arrange a suitable time to get to your property. We can source the majority of boiler parts from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. A: It is highly likely that you have a combi boiler due to their popularity. Combi boilers work by heating up the water inside the boiler eliminating the need for a water storage tank. When a combination boiler is installed, it is usually replacing an older hot/cold water storage system which may have been left behind but is disconnected from the system.
A: Yes-once we have inspected your boiler and identified what is wrong we can provide you with a fixed cost before any work commences.
A: Of course we can. We will source the replacement parts for your boiler at cost price. We are always happy to provide our customers with receipts so they can see for themselves how much the replacement parts have cost.
A: The majority of faults can be repaired. Minor faults such as loss of pressure or small leaks do not require any parts to fix them. However, loss of pressure can be a symptom of another problem within the central heating system. Below is a list of the usual parts that often need replacing:
- PCB Board
- Water Pressure Switch
- Diverter Valve
- Overheat Stat
- Gas Valve
We cannot provide you with prices on replacement parts right away because prices vary from boiler to boiler. Prices can only be provided once the exact part needed has been identified and the supplier has provided me with the price.
A: Only a gas safe registered heating engineer is allowed to carry out work on your boiler. For those who don’t know, CORGI registered used to be the safety certificate provided for heating engineers but has now been replaced by Gas Safe registered.
A: Once we have arrived at your property we will quickly diagnose the issue with your boiler. We will then discuss with you what is wrong and what needs to be done to rectify the problem. Only after inspecting your boiler will be able to provide you with a fixed cost for a boiler repair. If your boiler needs parts replacing we will have to contact you back later in the day once we have sourced the parts and how much they would cost.
A: In most cases, parts are sourced on the same day. Some parts might need to be shipped overnight from a supplier which means they should arrive the following day.
A: I highly recommend you not to try and source the part yourself just in case you order the wrong part by mistake. If you would like to source your own parts, then we can arrange that you pay for my labour only. Paying for labour only can work out more expensive if the wrong parts are purchased.
A: Unfortunately, yes. When the boiler breaks down its not necessarily just one part that needs to be repaired or replaced. Obviously, the more parts needed, the more expensive the final cost. You will be provided with a breakdown of the costs for replacement parts. Then you can decide whether it’s worth replacing the parts or replacing the boiler.
A: Yes. If your boiler does not require parts that need to be shipped overnight, your boiler be repaired on the same day.
